Novel coronaviruses have mutant strains.
Novel coronaviruses are highly contagious pathogens that expose the body to novel coronavirus pneumonia. During transmission, novel coronaviruses usually produce mutant strains, which are known to be Alpha, Gamma, Beta, Delta, and Omicron, with Omicron being the most prevalent strain worldwide.
The emergence of mutant strains is actually caused by genetic mutations of the new coronavirus due to various factors, and the direction of mutation of mutant strains is unstable and random.
Regardless of which mutant strain is infected, timely isolation and scientific diagnosis and treatment should be carried out to avoid adverse consequences.
