What’s wrong with feeling tired after waking up?

Patients feel tired after sleeping, which is a manifestation of low sleep quality, and is mostly seen in patients with some sleep disorders, such as patients with sleep apnea syndrome, episodic sleeping sickness, night terrors and other sleep-related diseases, which can easily lead to mental fatigue even after waking up from sleep. Since the patient has sufficient sleep hours at night, but low sleep quality and severe nocturnal hypoxemia manifestations, it is easy to cause the symptoms of brain hypoxia after waking up during the day. For such patients, the diagnosis should first be clarified by polysomnography, and after the diagnosis is clear, targeted treatment should be given, such as patients with sleep apnea syndrome, who should choose surgical treatment or noninvasive ventilator-assisted treatment, depending on the situation. There is no good treatment for patients with episodic sleeping sickness, but only psychotherapy and symptomatic treatment can be given.
