What’s with the sudden swelling of the lips?

Sudden swelling of the lips may be caused by allergic lipitis, angioedema and other diseases, as follows.
1. allergic lipitis: lip contact with toothpaste, lipstick, chewing gum and other allergens can trigger an allergic reaction, manifested as localized congestion and edema, blisters, vesicles or ulcers can occur in severe cases.
2. Angioedema: is a subcutaneous or submucosal loose connective tissue of limited edema, may be related to drugs, food, dust, sunlight and other factors, manifested in the lips of the skin and mucous membranes with itching sensation, burning sensation, and then that is the occurrence of swelling, tightening and swelling sensation, the swelling area boundaries are not obvious, tougher and more elastic texture, no obvious pain.
