Left lobe nodule with calcification

Patient: Thyroid: bilateral thyroid glands with regular morphology, intact envelope, and 1.5×1.3 isoechoic nodules in the operculum with speckle-like strong echogenicity, and 0.3×0.2 cm hypoechoic nodules in the right lobe, with color showing no abnormal blood supply. Neck: No obvious enlarged lymph nodes were seen in the soft tissues of the neck bilaterally. Ultrasound suggests: nodules in the right and left lobes of the thyroid gland, nodules in the left lobe with calcification. No further treatment? What should I do? Doctor: Thyroid nodule with calcification is an indication for surgical treatment. We recommend surgical removal and pathology to clarify the diagnosis. Patient: Is the medication not working? Doctor: Nodule with calcification is a possible thyroid cancer and surgery is the first choice of treatment. In case it is a tumor, medication alone cannot cure it and can easily delay the treatment.
