Does it hurt to have your back pierced?

Lumbar puncture is called lumbar puncture, and it is painful because of the need for intervertebral puncture, but the pain is relieved when anesthetic drugs are injected. The lumbar puncture requires a good position, shaped like a bent “prawn”, with the head down, legs bent at the waist and knees close to the abdomen. If the position is right, the lumbar puncture time will be short, and the pain will pass in a flash. After lumbar puncture, you need to lie flat in bed for 6-8 hours to avoid adverse reactions such as dizziness and headache. Some patients will have pain and discomfort in the lumbar region after lumbar puncture, and even have limited bending activities and other performance. Possible reasons include not having good bed rest after lumbar puncture, or less exercise in general, the strength of the lumbar area is weakened, resulting in the local injury site, the first pain and discomfort occurs. Another part of the patients, mostly due to lumbar puncture and lumbar spine good lesion site is close to, therefore will appear pain and discomfort. Finally, there are few cases of lumbar pain due to lumbar puncture, such as the inability to bear weight or even bend over. In this case, it is necessary to perform appropriate lumbar strength training to increase the strength of the lumbar back and reduce the occurrence of lumbar pain, or even eliminate the local pain and discomfort caused by lumbar puncture.
