Bile duct stones can’t be eliminated by taking medication, patients need to follow the doctor’s instructions for surgical treatment, medication, general measures and so on.
1. Surgery: Usually, extrahepatic bile duct stones are mainly treated by surgery, and patients need to undergo choledochotomy, bile-intestinal anastomosis, hepatectomy, liver transplantation and so on according to the doctor’s instructions. If there are residual stones in the bile duct after the operation, it is also necessary to place a T-shaped drainage tube after the operation, which is conducive to the postoperative contrast agent through the T-tube to further remove the stones.
2. Medication: Usually, patients need anti-infection treatment, especially in the acute attack period, patients need to use ceftriaxone and other antibiotics as prescribed by the doctor. If the patient has abnormal liver function, it can also be used with reduced glutathione, adenosine triphosphate and other liver protection drugs. At the same time, patients can also use ursodeoxycholic acid and other drugs to promote bile secretion.
3. General measures: when the patient has obvious symptoms of epigastric or subglottic colic, accompanied by chills, fever, etc., can be suspected of biliary obstruction, in this case, the patient needs to fasting, water. Patients should also pay close attention to whether the drainage tube is smooth and the color of the drainage fluid, so as to avoid dislodging the drainage tube.
It is recommended that patients with bile duct stones strictly follow the doctor’s instructions for systematic treatment, and avoid taking medication without authorization, so as not to delay the condition.
