What does tubular adenoma with low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia mean?

Tubular adenoma with low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia is a pathologic term indicating a heterogeneous proliferation of tubular adenomas. It needs to be understood in terms of low grade intraepithelial neoplasia, high grade intraepithelial neoplasia and tubular adenoma respectively. 1. Low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia: It is a lesion that requires regular observation and tends to grow over time leading to cancer. Close follow-up is needed to prevent high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia and carcinoma in situ or progression to malignant tumors. 2. High-grade intraepithelial neoplasia: also known as carcinoma in situ, it is a common pathological type of colonic adenoma, which needs to be examined in the hospital, and endoscopic surgical resection should be performed, and then the resected tissue should be sent to the pathology examination, to observe the pathological type and the presence of carcinoma in tubulovillous adenoma, so as to facilitate timely and effective symptomatic treatment after diagnosis. 3. Tubular adenoma: also known as adenomatous polyp, it is a relatively common tumor polyp with slow growth rate, usually without obvious pain. It also needs symptomatic observation and symptomatic treatment under doctor’s guidance with clinical symptoms.
