What if another tooth grows next to a molar?

If you have another tooth next to your big tooth, it may be a supernumerary tooth or a blocked tooth, and it is recommended to remove it.
There are two sets of teeth in a person’s life, one set of milk teeth and one set of permanent teeth. Under normal circumstances, there are 28~32 permanent teeth in the adult population, which fluctuates due to the number of wisdom teeth. Wisdom teeth are located at the very back of the mouth, behind the big teeth, and most of them are blocked and cannot erupt completely, so it is usually recommended to extract them.
If a new tooth erupts from the buccal or lingual side of a large tooth, it is recommended to observe the morphology of the tooth and take radiographs to clarify the number of teeth. If it is an extra tooth, it is also recommended to be extracted, otherwise, the teeth will not be aligned, which will easily lead to dental caries and gingivitis.
It is recommended that patients with abnormal eruption of teeth in the mouth go to the stomatology department of a regular hospital for a clear diagnosis and symptomatic treatment after examination by a physician.
