Most of the torn medial knee ligaments occur in patients as a result of direct external force on the knee joint, and the specific recovery time depends on the extent of the ligament tear. If only part of the medial ligament is torn, and conservative treatment is given, such as fixation with braces, external ointment for bruises and pain relief, and oral doses of bruises and blood-strengthening tablets, the torn medial ligament can gradually recover in about 2-3 weeks after treatment. If the patient has most of the torn medial knee ligaments, the knee joint is unstable and loose, which affects the patient’s normal knee joint activities. In the treatment, an emergency surgery is performed, an incision is made, and the medial ligament is repaired, and the condition can gradually recover in about 4-6 weeks after the surgery.
