What’s wrong with the white drops in the eyes?

Frequent white discharge from the eyes, consider conjunctivitis with a duration of several months or more, consider chronic conjunctivitis, mostly caused by infectious factors, such as Staphylococcus aureus and Moraxella catarrhalis infections. Long-term irritation of the eye by adverse environmental factors, such as sand, smoke, harmful gases, long-term use of irritating drugs, or poor quality cosmetics, can cause a chronic inflammatory response in the conjunctiva. The clinical manifestations of chronic conjunctivitis are increased viscous discharge from the corners of the eyes, congestion and hypertrophy of the conjunctiva, and other symptoms such as foreign body sensation, dryness, itching, stinging, and visual fatigue, etc. The treatment principles are similar to those of acute conjunctivitis. For infectious conjunctivitis, antibiotic eye drops, as well as eye ointments are needed for treatment. For chronic conjunctivitis caused by non-infectious factors, improvement of the working and living environment is the main concern.
