Orthodontics, also known as orthodontics, is the process of realigning teeth to restore and re-establish oral function and normal morphology while maintaining the original shape of individual teeth. It preserves the own teeth, improves the facial shape, enhances chewing performance, sometimes improves pronunciation, treats periodontal disease, TMJ disease, and creates conditions for other dental treatments such as missing teeth restoration and dental implants, so orthodontics is preferred for teeth misalignment problems.
