Effects of Dingkun Dan

Tingkun Dan has the ability to nourish Qi and Blood, soothe the liver and relieve depression, and can be used for Qi and Blood deficiency, Qi stagnation and blood stagnation leading to irregular menstruation and dysmenorrhea. The two deficiencies of Qi and Blood are usually caused by weakness of the spleen and stomach, no source of Qi and Blood biochemistry, excessive thinking, dark depletion of heart and blood, or women with prolonged menstruation without sufficient attention, which leads to chronic bleeding. Chronic bleeding that is not cured for a long time can lead to liver qi stagnation, which affects the transport function of the spleen and stomach, so the spleen, stomach and liver are treated at the same time. In Dingkun Dan, ginseng, poria, licorice and atractylodes are used to nourish the deficiency of the spleen; Chuanxiong, angelica, rehmannia and peony are used to nourish the deficiency of the blood; and Chai Hu is added to de-stress the liver. Weakness of the spleen and stomach for a long time will result in deficiency of spleen-yang, so dry ginger is added to warm spleen-yang. Blood stasis is usually caused by deficiency of liver blood, resulting in unfavorable qi flow. If Qi moves, Blood moves; if Qi stops, Blood stasis occurs. Therefore, Yuan Hu, Wu Ling Li and Panax notoginseng are used to invigorate Blood and stop bleeding, and all the medicines work together to regulate menstruation.
