Cerebral aneurysms can be operated on a second time, including both cases of recurrence after surgical treatment of cerebral aneurysms and multiple cerebral aneurysms in which a part of the aneurysm is treated surgically first. Many cerebral aneurysms are caused by underlying diseases such as atherosclerosis. Surgical options include cranial aneurysm clamping and endovascular intervention with spring coil embolization of the aneurysm. In both cases, it is possible to cure the aneurysm. However, the aneurysm may still recur because of the underlying disease. Recurrent brain aneurysms can still be treated surgically, and surgery remains the preferred modality for this type of disease, with proven efficacy. In addition, if the patient has multiple intracranial aneurysms that cannot be easily treated in a single surgery, the option is to treat the responsible aneurysm as well as the risky aneurysms first. The remaining aneurysms can also be treated with a second surgery. In case of recurrence of brain aneurysm or multiple aneurysms after surgery, it is necessary to consult a doctor in a timely manner and to regulate the treatment according to the doctor’s recommendations.
