Does it bleed if you touch your cervix when you’re about to have your period?

Bleeding does not occur when you touch your cervix when you are about to have your period. If bleeding occurs after cervical contact, it is often caused by local inflammation of the cervix, or local lesions of the cervix. In addition to finding out whether the cervix is locally congested and edematous; whether there is purulent discharge in the cervical canal, screening for cervical cancer is recommended to find out whether there are lesions in the cervical epithelium and whether there is high-risk HPV infection. If there is purulent discharge in the cervical canal, it is recommended to remove the purulent discharge, do bacterial culture plus drug sensitivity test, and then give appropriate anti-inflammatory treatment clinically based on the results. It is also recommended that women should have an annual gynecological examination even when they are not in discomfort, as well as screening for cervical cancer.
