Early Symptoms of Throat Cancer



Early symptoms of throat cancer are not obvious, with the progress of the disease, hoarseness, abnormal feeling in the throat, sore throat, lump in the neck, cough and other symptoms may appear.

1. Hoarseness: hoarseness is one of the most common symptoms of throat cancer, the size of tumor will affect the vocal function of the throat, resulting in hoarseness.

2. Abnormal feeling in the throat: throat cancer may also have the feeling of urgency or foreign body sensation, and some patients may have difficulty in swallowing and pain in the throat when swallowing.

3. Sore throat: throat cancer will have painful symptoms, which lasts for a long time and will not get better after general treatment.

4. Lump in neck: lumps may appear in the neck of throat cancer, usually in the upper neck or behind the angle of lower jaw, and in the late stage, lymph nodes may be enlarged on both sides.

5. Cough: throat cancer will produce cough due to the stimulation of tumor secretion, the cough is not very strong at the beginning, but it will form stubborn cough at the later stage, and some patients will also cough up sputum with blood in the sputum and emit stinky smell.
