Gliclazide is recommended to be taken with meals, while Saxagliptin can be taken at any time of the day. Gliclazide generally consists of Gliclazide tablets, Gliclazide extended-release tablets, the former usually need to be taken 1~3 times a day, recommended to be taken with meals; while the latter is usually taken once a day, recommended to be taken at breakfast and recommended to be swallowed directly as a whole tablet, not chewed and taken. Saxagliptin tablets are usually taken only once a day, and can be taken at any time of the day, and meals do not affect the absorption and metabolism of the drug. Gliclazide and saxagliptin tablets are prescription drugs, mainly used in the treatment of diabetes mellitus in the clinic, type 1 diabetes mellitus, diabetic ketoacidosis, breastfeeding women are prohibited from taking gliclazide; patients with a history of severe hypersensitivity reactions to saxagliptin (such as rapid onset allergic reactions, angioedema or exfoliative skin damage) are prohibited from taking saxagliptin.
