Rectal cancer T4N0M0 is stage II.
Clinically, rectal cancer is staged according to TNM standard, in which T indicates the size of the tumor in the primary lesion site, and T4 indicates that the tumor has already penetrated the plasma membrane layer and invaded the surrounding abdominal cavity and organs, but there is no lymph node metastasis and distal metastasis for the time being, and it belongs to stage II.
Rectal cancer patients with T4N0M0 are mainly treated by surgery, while surgical resection of the lesion area and extended resection are necessary, and pathological tissue examination and analysis are carried out after surgery, most of the patients are able to recover, and some of the patients need to be treated with radiotherapy, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy to reduce the chances of recurrence and metastasis in the later stage.
