Atorvastatin calcium tablets are currently available in three doses: 10mg, 20mg and 40mg. The commonly used starting dose is 10mg once daily with a dose adjustment interval of 4 weeks and a maximum dose of 80mg for 1 day. 40mg-80mg is mainly used in the acute phase of heart attacks and brain attacks. Atorvastatin calcium tablets can be taken at any time of the day and are not affected by meals. For diabetic patients without high risk factors such as cardiovascular complications, LDL cholesterol is controlled within 2.6 mmol/L; if it has been combined with cardiovascular complications, it needs to be controlled within 1.8 mmol/L.
