Effects of Amlodipine Tablets

Amlodipine tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension, either alone or in combination with other anti-hypertensive agents; for the symptomatic treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris, either alone or in combination with other anti-anginal agents; and for the treatment of confirmed or suspected vascular, spastic angina pectoris, either alone or in combination with other anti-anginal agents. In patients with angiographically confirmed coronary artery disease, but with an ejection fraction greater than or equal to 40% and without heart failure, amlodipine tablets may reduce the risk of hospitalization for angina pectoris, as well as reduce the risk of coronary artery reconstruction.
