Montelukast Sodium Granules Actions and Effects

Montelukast Sodium Granules are used to treat bronchial asthma and allergic rhinitis in children. Montelukast Sodium Granules are indicated for the prophylactic and long-term treatment of asthma in children over the age of 1 year, including the prevention of daytime and nighttime asthma symptoms, the treatment of aspirin-sensitive asthmatics and the prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction. It is also used to reduce symptoms caused by allergic rhinitis (seasonal allergic rhinitis and perennial allergic rhinitis in children aged 2 to 5 years). The product is generally well tolerated with mild adverse effects, which may include symptoms such as thirst, increased bleeding tendency, palpitations, and hypersensitivity reactions. It is contraindicated in people who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product. It should not be used in the treatment of acute asthma attacks. Montelukast Sodium Granules should be used appropriately under the supervision of a physician and should not be used on its own.
