Quantitative CT rib cartilage testing a success

Through 60 years of development, it has been finally established that autologous rib cartilage is the preferred material for otologic reconstruction. The amount and degree of aging of rib cartilage is one of the main factors affecting the difficulty and results of otologic reconstruction, and the quantitative detection of rib cartilage before surgery has been a challenge for us. Recently, we have introduced the most advanced multi-row CT in the world, and with the joint efforts of radiologists and plastic surgeons, we have been able to accurately detect the amount and degree of aging of rib cartilage in patients, which has established a good foundation for a successful surgery.
