What to do about the left adnexal mass

Left adnexal masses can be divided into two categories: 1. physiological cysts, which can be observed: the first type of physiological cysts commonly include corpus luteum cysts and follicular cysts, which generally show cystic changes on ultrasound, with permeable sound, no obvious blood flow signal, negative ovarian tumor markers, and generally less than 6 cm in diameter. These cases can be reviewed after 3-6 months of observation and most of them can disappear. 2. pathological masses, which require surgery: for the second type of pathological cysts, which commonly include benign ovarian cysts, ovarian chocolate cysts, and even ovarian cancer, different surgical methods should be chosen in combination with the patient’s conscious symptoms, ovarian tumor marker values, and the patient’s fertility requirements.
