The onset of leukemia varies: acute cases can be sudden high fever, similar to a “cold”, or severe bleeding; slow cases are often characterized by pallor, purpura, menorrhagia, or bleeding that is difficult to stop after a tooth extraction and is detected by a doctor. 1. Leukemia patients may have anemia, and those with a short course of the disease may have no anemia. 2. Fever is the earliest symptom in half of the leukemia patients, but it is usually low fever, and high fever often suggests secondary infection. 3. 40% of leukemia patients have bleeding as their early manifestation. Bleeding can occur in all parts of the body, with skin petechiae, ecchymosis, nosebleed, gum bleed, and menorrhagia being the most common. 4. Patients with leukemia may also show lymph nodes, enlarged liver and spleen, pressure and pain in the lower part of the sternum, hyperplasia and swelling of the gums, and localized bulging and hardening of the skin in the form of purple nodules. Therefore, there are various symptoms of pre-leukemia, and patients with the above symptoms should go to the hospital in time for early diagnosis and early treatment.
