Cystic masses are benign diseases that occur in the liver, kidneys, thyroid and breast nodules, because the masses are filled with fluid, or watery material, and are surrounded by a cystic wall that completely encapsulates the fluid. It is usually caused by a nodular goiter or a hyperplastic nodule of the breast, after cystic disease has occurred. Small cysts can be followed up without surgery if they are cystic masses in the liver or kidneys. If the cyst is large and has symptoms of pressure and causes discomfort such as hidden pain or swelling in the corresponding area, the cyst can be drained. If the cysts formed by thyroid or breast enlargement nodules have large masses, unilateral thyroidectomy or removal of breast masses can be performed.
