What is a malignant tumor of the lung?

Malignant tumor of the lung is a substantial mass that originates in the lung. Most lung malignancies are lung cancers, which can be classified into small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer depending on the nature of the pathology and the size of the cell morphology. Among them, non-small cell lung cancer can be divided into lung adenocarcinoma, lung squamous carcinoma and a small proportion of adenosquamous carcinoma. In addition to lung cancer, there are also a small proportion of malignant melanoma of the lung and lymphoma of the lung. Lung malignant tumors are usually diagnosed by bronchoscopy or percutaneous lung puncture biopsy and surgical pathology, and the diagnosis is confirmed based on the pathological results. If surgery is not possible, radiotherapy and chemotherapy are usually the main treatments, and the application of targeted drug therapy can also be considered.
