The presence of blood flow signals in the lymph nodes indicates that the lymph nodes are more metabolically active, which may be a normal physiologic condition, or there may be lesions such as lymph node inflammation, lymph node hyperplasia, or lymphoma. In general, lymph nodes have normal blood supply, but ultrasonography will not have abundant blood flow signal. Therefore, lymph nodes found with significant blood flow signals may be the result of lymph node inflammation or lymph node tumors. Bacterial or viral infection, leading to lymphadenitis, when the lymph nodes tend to be reactive and hyperplastic, painful, soft, tender to palpation, with good mobility. Lymphoma, lymphoblastic leukemia, and lymphatic metastasis of malignant tumors can lead to enlargement of some of the lymph nodes, which are hard, non-tender, and have poor mobility. Ultrasonography found that the lymph nodes have blood flow signals, should further improve the examination, to determine the diagnosis and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment.
