Capecitabine is useful in the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer is defined as estrogen receptor-negative, progesterone receptor-negative, and human epidermal growth factor receptor-2-negative breast cancer. Triple-negative breast cancer generally has a poorer prognosis, and its cancer cells are more malignant and more likely to recur or metastasize. Patients with triple-negative breast cancer who can be treated surgically are preferred to have surgery, plus postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy and radiotherapy; patients with triple-negative breast cancer who cannot be treated surgically are preferred to have chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Capecitabine can be used in chemotherapy for triple negative breast cancer, and it can be used alone or in combination with other drugs to control the recurrence and metastasis of breast cancer to a certain extent. Patients should take the drug regularly under the instruction of doctor, and there may be adverse reactions such as anorexia, diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, fatigue, drowsiness and so on, which should be observed carefully. It is recommended that patients follow the doctor’s instructions and actively cooperate with the doctor’s treatment, in order to improve the prognosis and quality of life.
