Herbal Medicine for Liver and Kidney

There are many traditional Chinese medicines that nourish the liver and kidneys, and some of them are Chinese wolfberry, chasteberry and dodder seed. Wolfberry has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidneys as well as benefiting the essence and brightening the eyes (tonifying the essence and promoting the recovery of vision); chasteberry has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidneys, brightening the eyes and darkening the hair; dodder has the effect of nourishing the liver and kidneys, fixing the essence and shrinking the urine (consolidating the essence and the urine, preventing the leakage of the essence and urine arbitrarily), settling the fetus, brightening the eyes, and stopping the effect of diarrhea. 1. Lycium barbarum: can be used to treat deficiency of essence, soreness of waist and knees, dizziness and tinnitus, impotence and spermatorrhea, internal heat and thirst (internal heat accompanied by symptoms such as eating more, drinking more and urinating more), blood deficiency and yellowing, and dimming of the eyes and other. External evil solid heat, spleen deficiency with dampness and diarrhea should be avoided. 2. Chasteberry: It can be used for treating Yin deficiency of the liver and kidneys (deficiency of Yin in the liver and kidneys), dizziness, tinnitus, lumbar and knee soreness and weakness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee areas), premature whitening of the beard and hair, darkness and uncertainty of the eyes, internal heat and thirst, and tidal fever of the bones (a burst of heat, feeling that the heat is penetrating from the inside of the bones to the outside) and other conditions. Spleen and stomach cold (spleen and stomach weakness and cold) diarrhea and Yang deficiency should not be taken. 3. Cuscuta: It can be used to treat deficiency of liver and kidney (weakness of liver and kidney), lumbar and knee soreness, impotence and spermatorrhea, dysuria and frequent urination, fetal leakage due to deficiency of kidney (a small amount of vaginal bleeding in early pregnancy), and diarrhea due to deficiency of spleen and kidney. It is forbidden for pregnant women, hemorrhage, Yang Qiang (penis does not become soft for a long time after erection and semen overflows by itself), and fire in kidneys. If there is a need for medication, it should be used under the guidance of a doctor’s diagnosis, and should not be used blindly on its own to avoid adverse consequences.
