Currently, laparoscopic cholecystectomy has become the gold standard for gallbladder removal. Laparoscopic cholecystectomy can have one, two, three, or four holes poked in the abdominal wall. For the surgeon, each additional poke hole makes the operation more convenient and fast, and each reduced poke hole makes the operation more difficult, for the patient, each reduced poke hole makes the abdominal wall scar less, especially one poke hole because the scar is hidden in the sunken umbilicus, most patients will not see the obvious scar after the operation, which can be said to be a kind of cosmetic surgery. We have performed and studied laparoscopic cholecystectomy with one, two, three and four poke holes, and achieved good results. We believe that laparoscopic cholecystectomy with one, two, three and four poke holes has its own indications, so we should not blindly pursue fewer holes, and it is most important to complete the surgery safely. At present, there are also more trendy methods of laparoscopic cholecystectomy, via oral cavity, stomach, abdominal cavity, transvaginal cavity and abdominal cavity, which can completely avoid abdominal wall scars, but the difficulty, trauma and risk of surgery are obviously increased and controversial.
