Clinically, heart valve calcification is commonly seen in degenerative changes in the elderly, and conservative treatment is recommended for less severe cases, while surgery can be performed for more severe cases. At present, with the change of lifestyle and the trend of population aging, the incidence of degenerative valvular disease in the elderly in China is increasing year by year, with aortic valvular disease being the most common, which can be categorized into valvular stenosis or closure insufficiency. For patients with a mild degree of valvular stenosis or closure insufficiency, conservative treatment can be taken, and the purpose of treatment is mainly to prevent the occurrence of infectious diseases and delay or reduce the need for surgical treatment. In cases where valvular stenosis or insufficiency results in hemodynamic changes and altered cardiac function, surgical treatment is required, and surgical valve replacement is often applied. If heart valve calcification is present, prompt medical attention should be sought. Asymptomatic need regular follow-up, symptoms need active treatment, must pay attention to avoid delaying the treatment of the disease.
