What are the symptoms of a deviated septum?

In case of physiological septal deviation, there are usually no symptoms. In case of pathologic septal deviation, symptoms such as nasal congestion, headache and nosebleed may occur. 1. Physiologic septal deviation: usually asymptomatic, no treatment is needed. 2. Pathological septal deviation: it may be caused by congenital septal dysplasia, hypertrophy of adenoids in childhood, nasal septum fracture and misalignment due to trauma to the nose.
