The ECG is normal and the heart pain may be a normal physiological phenomenon, or it may be caused by myocardial ischemia, reflux esophagitis and costochondritis. The cause should be clarified in time. 1. Physiological phenomenon: If the patient has consumed a lot of alcohol, emotional excitement and overwork, the heart rate will increase and the blood volume will increase, which will lead to the manifestation of heart pain. Generally, the symptoms will be gradually relieved after removing the triggers. 2. Pathological phenomena: (1) Myocardial ischemia: Myocardial ischemia is a pathophysiological state caused by coronary artery stenosis, coronary artery spasm, and coronary artery embolism, in which the coronary arteries do not supply enough blood to the myocardium as well as oxygen. Symptomatic myocardial ischemia patients mainly have discomfort and pain in the anterior region of the heart, which may also be accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Nitroglycerin, quick-acting heart-saving pills and other drugs can be taken for treatment. (2) Reflux esophagitis: Reflux esophagitis is one of the types of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), which refers to the breakage of the esophageal mucosa caused by acid or alkali reflux. The main symptoms include reflux, heartburn, chest pain and epigastric pain. It can be treated with acid suppression therapy and anti-reflux surgery. (3) Costochondritis: Costochondritis refers to the inflammatory reaction of the cartilage at the junction of the sternum and the ribs, which is mainly manifested as a clear pain in the anterior chest wall, which may be accompanied by a feeling of swelling, and is a kind of common clinical disease. It can be treated with drugs such as procaine or lidocaine. Other diseases such as pneumothorax, aortic coarctation, pulmonary embolism, etc. are also possible. It is recommended that patients with normal ECG but heart pain should go to the hospital in time to clarify the cause of the disease and be treated under the guidance of the doctor.
