Right arm lifting pain may be caused by shoulder joint fracture or ligament injury, rotator cuff injury, acromioclavicular impingement syndrome, shoulder osteoarthritis, cervical spondylosis and so on.
1. Fracture or ligament injury of the right shoulder joint: Trauma to the shoulder joint leads to fracture or ligament injury of the shoulder joint, such as fracture of the proximal end of the humerus, fracture of the glenoid, fracture of the scapula, injury of the rostral-shoulder ligament, injury of the acromioclavicular ligament and so on, and pain in lifting up the right arm may occur.
2. Right rotator cuff injury: trauma or chronic injury causing rotator cuff injury, such as supraspinatus tear, will not only cause pain when lifting the right arm, but also cause symptoms of weakness in lifting the right arm.
3. Right acromioclavicular impingement syndrome: when the right humeral tuberosity is hyperplasia or the gap between acromion and humeral tuberosity is narrowed, the pain is caused by the impingement of humeral tuberosity on acromion when the right arm is lifted up.
4. Arthritis of the right shoulder: Arthritis of the right shoulder may cause pain in lifting the right arm when the shoulder is moved due to the stimulation of inflammation of the joint.
5. Neurogenic cervical spondylosis: When the right side of the cervical disc herniated and compressed the right side of the nerve root, neurogenic symptoms may appear, such as radiating pain in the right upper limb, which is obvious when lifting up due to further compression of the nerve root.
There are many causes of right arm lifting pain, so it is recommended to go to the hospital as soon as possible to clarify the cause of the pain and carry out appropriate treatment to avoid further decline in the function of the right upper limb.
