Nucleic acid test currently refers to the new coronavirus nucleic acid test. Bleeding from the nose poked during sampling can usually be stopped by cold compresses, application of medication, and pressure to stop bleeding.
1. Cold compress: dry rhinitis or atrophic rhinitis, etc. can easily make the nasal mucosa dry and form crusts, which may cause the crusts to fall off and small blood vessels to rupture and bleed when poking the nose during nucleic acid testing. This situation can be reduced by cold compresses to reduce bleeding symptoms, cold compresses can promote vasoconstriction, thus playing a role in stopping bleeding.
2. Medication: When using nasal swabs for nucleic acid testing, if the force is large, it may also injure the nasal mucosa, resulting in bleeding. Generally, medications can be applied under the guidance of doctors to relieve bleeding symptoms, such as erythromycin ointment, ephedrine nasal drops, peppermint nasal drops, etc.
3. Pressure to stop bleeding: if the bleeding is large or the use of cold compresses, applying drugs and other methods to stop the bleeding effect is not good, we should consult a doctor in a timely manner, under the guidance of the doctor through the nasopharyngoscopy to find the bleeding point, the use of gelatin sponge and other compression to stop the bleeding.
It is recommended that the patient should consult the doctor in time and do the appropriate treatment under the doctor’s guidance.
