Orpiment and andrographis are both mineral medicines, different in flavor and attribution, efficacy and use of attention.
1. Sexual flavor and attribution: andrographis is pungent, warm, to the liver, large intestine meridian; orpimentum is pungent, flat, to the liver meridian. Both are toxic.
2. Main efficacy: andrographis has the efficacy of detoxification and insecticide, drying dampness and expelling phlegm, and interception of malaria, and is used to treat carbuncles, boils, snake bites, abdominal pain in the accumulation of worms, eclampsia, malaria and other diseases; and orpiment has the efficacy of detoxification, drying dampness, insecticide, and is used for the treatment of sore throats, the external treatment of scabies, herpes zoster, carbuncles and boils, and snake bites and other diseases.
3. Use Note: Andrographis, orpimentum are used in pills, external use of the appropriate amount, powdered dressing on the affected area. However, it should be noted that the internal use of caution, not for a long time, pregnant women are prohibited.
It is recommended that the above drugs are used under the guidance of a doctor, do not blindly use their own medication, so as not to cause adverse consequences.
