Most of the particulate protection masks can prevent coronavirus, and with the classification of anti-particle masks of China’s GB2626-2006 standard, the masks suitable for anti-non-oil particulate matter mainly have three levels of KN90, KN95 and KN100. The corresponding filtration efficiency is 90%, 95% and 99.97% respectively. Whether the mask can prevent viruses, the main indicator is the filtration efficiency. Coronavirus exists in the air in the form of aerosols, and its particle size belongs to the filtering range of KN type masks. However, it should be noted that particulate dust masks do not have a hydrophobic protective layer, so their use scenarios are for daily anti-virus use by residents and cannot be used for anti-epidemic scenarios by medical rescuers.
