Is a glomerular filtration rate of 126 ml/min normal?

Glomerular filtration rate (GFR) of 126ml/min is slightly higher than normal and is considered normal in most cases.
GFR refers to the amount of ultrafiltrate passed through the two kidneys in one minute, and its normal reference value is 80~120ml/min, 126ml/min is slightly higher than normal, and its measurement value is affected by age, gender, weight and so on, and there will be deviation in the measurement value of different individuals.
GFR can be used to assess renal function. Decreased values can be seen in glomerular insufficiency, acute and chronic renal failure, advanced pyelonephritis, hypertension and advanced diabetes mellitus; increased values can be seen in pregnancy, early diabetic nephropathy, gigantism, and acromegaly.
Glomerular filtration rate of 126ml/min suggests regular hospitals, complete the relevant examinations under the guidance of physicians, to clarify the cause of the disease and timely treatment.
