Dense shadowing of a portion of the vertebral body is normally seen to refer to a benign lesion of a portion of the spine on a CT exam. Dense shadow is an imaging description on CT examination, partial vertebrae on CT examination, if there is a shadow, it may be the patient’s lesion is high density and small scope, such as osteophytes, vertebral body has undergone densification changes, calcification foci, and so on, which in turn produces a partial shadow, in addition, tumors and so on can also produce dense shadow.
