Do I have to have surgery for gallbladder polyps?

The main treatment for gallbladder polyps is cholecystectomy. The need for surgical treatment can be based on the following points: 1, combined with gallbladder disease, such as gallbladder stones, acute or chronic cholecystitis, and have obvious clinical symptoms, should be performed cholecystectomy. 2.Polyps of about 5mm or below without obvious clinical symptoms do not need surgical treatment and can continue to be observed. 3.Solitary polyps with size below 9mm without clinical symptoms should be observed regularly (3 months), and if the lesion has a tendency to increase, surgery should be performed. 4.Solitary polyps with size above 10mm or in the neck of gallbladder should be operated regardless of whether they have clinical symptoms or not. 5.Surgical treatment should be considered for suspected early-stage gallbladder cancer, although it is not certain.
