How to deal with hydronephrosis due to ureteral stenosis

Hydrocele due to ureteral stenosis can be handled by surgical methods such as tube placement, endotomy, resection and reanastomosis of the stenotic segment according to the severity. If the ureteral stenosis is mild and the first attack, you may choose to dilate the narrowed segment of the ureter with a ureteral stent for a period of time, and then observe whether the stenosis disappears and the hydronephrosis disappears after removing the stent. If it disappears, the ureteral stenosis may have been cured. If the stenosis still exists, ureteral balloon dilatation or endoureteral incision can be used, followed by ureteral stenting to note whether the ureteral stenosis disappears. In cases where these options fail to cure the ureteral stricture, the narrowed segment of the ureter may be removed and the ureter anastomosed, and if the stricture is still present, a long-term indwelling ureteral stent may be needed. If the patient is not feeling well, he/she should consult the doctor for examination and early treatment.
