Urine leukocyte elevation can usually heal itself if it is physiological reasons such as specimen contamination, etc. If it is pathological reasons such as non-infectious it may also heal itself, while infectious will usually not heal itself.
1. Physiological reasons: for example, in the urine specimen collection process, which may lead to contamination of the urine sample, the test process in the urine leukocytes increased. In this case, the patient will not be accompanied by other uncomfortable clinical symptoms, and can be restored again.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) Non-infectious: for example, the vaginal opening and urethral opening are not clean enough, resulting in non-inflammatory infections causing leukocytosis. (2) Infectious: most of them need relevant treatment to recover, usually will not be self-healing, such as acute pyelonephritis, cystitis, renal tuberculosis, stones combined with bacterial infections caused by increased urine leukocytes, should be timely and early standardized medication. Avoid transferring to chronic inflammation, recurring leukocyte increase, fever, urinary frequency, urinary urgency and other symptoms.
Urine leukocyte elevation is due to a variety of reasons, some can be self-cured, some need active treatment, it is recommended that the patient to the regular hospital in time to improve the relevant examination, to clarify the cause, and comply with the doctor’s instructions to standardize the treatment.
