What does liver fibrosis s4 mean

Liver fibrosis is classified into five grades S0-4, and liver fibrosis S4 can be diagnosed as a diagnosis of cirrhosis. Cirrhosis is a pathological stage ultimately characterized by chronic inflammation of the liver, diffuse fibrosis, pseudofollicles, regenerative nodules, and proliferation of blood vessels inside and outside the liver due to hepatitis viral infection, alcoholic liver disease, and autoimmune liver disease. Most of the patients are asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic in the compensated stage of cirrhosis, and may have abdominal discomfort, fatigue, loss of appetite, etc. In the decompensated stage, there are mainly two types of manifestations, namely, decompensated liver function and portal hypertension (twisting and deformation of small blood vessels caused by fibrosis of the liver tissues and regeneration of the nodules, which hinders blood flow). If cirrhosis disease is diagnosed, early and standardized treatment is recommended to reduce the adverse effects of the disease.
