Perimenopausal period suddenly manifests heavy menstrual flow, large blood clots, prolonged menstrual period, incessant menstrual flow, leukorrhea with blood with a fishy odor, this situation needs to be vigilant, may be caused by cervical lesions or endometrial lesions. If the menstrual flow is heavy with blood clots, or if the dribbling does not go away, this condition may be caused by endometrial thickening, submucous fibroid, or adenomyosis in the perimenopausal period. Abnormal thickening of the endometrium is found, and diagnostic scraping is needed, followed by pathologic tests to rule out endometrial cancer. Leukorrhea with blood with odor may be caused by cervical lesions, especially cervical cancer, which requires cervical cancer screening, i.e. TCT and HPV test. Any of the above abnormalities should be seen by an obstetrician and gynecologist at the first opportunity.
