What does a high neutrophil percentage mean?

A high percentage of neutrophils means that the body is suffering from an acute infection, severe tissue damage, a disease of the blood system, etc., or that certain physiological conditions are present. An elevated neutrophil count means that the body may be experiencing physiologic conditions as well as certain pathologic conditions. 1. Physiologic conditions include late pregnancy and childbirth, after strenuous exertion, heat and cold, and after showering. 2. Pathological conditions include purulent bacterial infections such as Streptococcus pneumoniae, severe tissue injuries such as severe trauma and burns, acute hemorrhage, poisoning, leukemia, myeloproliferative neoplasms and some malignant solid tumors. In the case of pathologically high neutrophil percentage, it is recommended to go to the hospital in time for diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of the physician, so as to avoid delaying the condition.
