Breast adenopathy with fibroadenoma formation means that the patient has hyperplasia in the breast and a fibroadenoma in the middle of the breast, both lesions being present at the same time. Breast adenopathy has a high incidence of screening in women around the age of 40 and is usually caused by hormone level disorders, such as patients with periodic pain in both breasts, like pins and needles, which increases significantly before the onset of menstruation and disappears on its own after the end of menstruation. When some patients have the pain for a longer period of time, the pain will still be present at the end of menstruation. Small, gritty nodules can be palpated in the bilateral breast during physical examination. If larger, round or oval shaped active nodules are palpated, fibroadenoma of the breast is considered and ultrasound is required to be able to detect the presence of both lesions.
