What’s wrong with a hard bump on the earlobe?

A hard growth in the earlobe is most commonly caused by a sebaceous cyst or a boil in the earlobe. If the earlobe is accompanied by an ear piercing, its hard is growing around the ear piercing and may be a keloid. Its appearance of hard pockets should be avoided to do further squeezing as well as touching inside the ear, which can easily lead to infection and pus in the hard pockets and aggravate its symptoms. If its recurrent inflammation, it is advisable to consider performing an excision of the earlobe swelling in the absence of an inflammatory process. If it is caused by a keloid, do not wear earrings in the ear, and consider topical hormonal medication to reduce the size of this hard mass. If the keloid is particularly large, surgery can be considered, but later radiotherapy and local treatment will be needed to prevent recurrence.
