The sutures can be removed in 1 week after cryptorchidism surgery. Generally, there are two wounds for cryptorchidism, one is located in the inguinal area, which opens up to about 3-4cm in length, and the other is located at the bottom of the scrotum, which is about 1cm in length, and both can be removed after 1 week. However, most hospitals now use absorbable thread for suturing, so patients who use absorbable thread for suturing do not need suture removal treatment. Most of the cryptorchid surgery is done on children younger than 2 weeks old. The recovery ability of children is relatively strong and they can fully recover to the normal state in about 7 days, so the removal of stitches will not have any effect at this time. However, if local splitting or local oozing or pus accumulation is found during the wound examination, it is recommended to delay the removal of stitches, give symptomatic medication change and anti-infection treatment, and observe the wound healing firmly before removing the stitches, and the extended time can be about 10 days after the surgery.
