What’s with the frequent stomach aches?

Frequent stomach pain may be caused by physiological factors such as diet, or pathologic factors such as peptic ulcer, chronic gastritis and stomach cancer.
1. Physiological factors: Certain bad dietary habits, such as long-term overeating, eating a lot of stimulating foods (such as chili peppers, garlic, cold drinks, etc.), alcoholism, etc., will stimulate the gastric mucosa, resulting in frequent stomach pain. Usually, it can be recovered gradually after improving lifestyle and dietary habits.
2. Peptic ulcer: patients with ulcerative damage to the gastric or duodenal mucosa, manifested by frequent stomach pain. Gastric ulcer patients usually show that the pain is aggravated when eating and relieved when fasting; duodenal ulcer patients usually show that the pain is relieved when eating and aggravated when fasting, which manifests as hunger pains, especially at night.
3. Chronic gastritis: patients usually suffer from increased gastric acid secretion and gastric mucous membrane damage, with congestion, edema and erosion on the mucous membrane surface, leading to frequent stomach pain.
4. Gastric cancer: patients’ gastric mucous membrane cells and nerves may also suffer from frequent stomachache under the stimulation and compression of cancer cells.
For patients with frequent stomach pain, it is recommended to seek medical treatment in time to find out the cause of the disease and carry out targeted treatment so as to avoid delaying the condition.
