Sacubitril valsartan is a regular medication for the treatment of heart disease and can be taken for a long time depending on the patient’s condition. Sacubitril valsartan is a drug for the treatment of heart failure, which contains two components, the enkephalinase inhibitor sacubitril and the angiotensin receptor antagonist valsartan, which produces cardiovascular and renal effects that lead to dilation of the blood vessels and improvement of hemodynamics as a way of decreasing cardiovascular deaths and hospitalizations for heart failure. It is used more frequently in clinical practice and can be taken for long periods of time. However, there are some conditions in which the use of sacubitril valsartan is contraindicated, such as hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, people taking ACEI drugs, patients with a past history of angioedema associated with ACEI or ARB therapy, and patients with severe liver injury. This medication should be used under the supervision of a doctor and avoid self-medication.
