How soon after hip replacement can you sit on a short bench

Generally, you cannot sit on a short bench for 3~6 months after hip replacement surgery, and it is recommended to sit on a high bench.
Hip replacement surgery is mostly applied to cases of severe necrosis of the femoral head caused by long-term use of hormones, alcoholism, trauma, and severe limitation of hip function, and the surgery requires the use of artificial prosthesis to replace the femoral head and acetabulum in order to restore the normal function of the hip joint.
You can’t sit on a short bench for 3~6 months after hip replacement surgery. Although you can try to get down to the ground 2~3 days after the surgery, the soft tissue damage around the hip joint such as muscles and ligaments have not yet recovered, so you may aggravate the damage by sitting on a short bench, and it is not recommended to sit on a short bench before the damage is fully recovered.
In addition, it is recommended to sit on a high bench after hip replacement surgery, which can reduce the wear and tear of the joint and prolong the use of the prosthesis.
Postoperative recovery of hip arthroplasty is recommended to be carried out under the guidance of a doctor and timely consultation.
